Library Building Update
The outside of the building has been painted and it looks beautiful. Yesterday the lettering was installed above the front entrance - now passers-by will definitely know that this is the Pearle L. Crawford Memorial Library! The additional bushes/trees/shrubs, including the sod, have also been planted and many are already blooming.
Painting on the inside is also complete, and the carpeting was installed this week. The shelving company has started constructing the various units that will eventually hold 55,000+ items - they should finish within a few days. The cherry trim and mill work have also been completed.
Please check back soon for information regarding the closing of the current library at 1 Village Street, as well as plans for the Grand Opening celebrations!
